They fell in love with three brothers from a neighboring tribe, but tribal law forbade their marriage. The brothers decided to capture the sisters, causing a tribal battle. To protect the sisters, a witchdoctor turned them into stone, intending to reverse the spell after the battle. However, the witchdoctor was killed in the fight, leaving the sisters as stone formations forever.
